Clínica Alemana joined The Hall of Fame as “Great Chilean Brand - Companies”
Recognition was given to the track record of the institution, which has focused on the satisfaction of healthcare needs for more than 100 years.
With the presence of executives from renowned Chilean companies, the 17th version of the Chile’s 2016 Hall of Fame was held on June 15 at Casa Piedra. On the occasion, Clínica Alemana became the first institution in the health sector to join the distinguished group of “Great Chilean Brad – Companies”, whose members are recognized for their experience and sustained leadership over time in their respective markets, through the application of concepts and marketing techniques that make them valued pioneers in this field.
At the ceremony, Clínica Alemana’s Chairman of the Board, Rolf Kühlenthal, and CEO Paula Ithurbisquy, received this award on behalf of the institution. “We are very proud of the brand we have built, with a history of 110 years, based on closeness, trust and service excellence delivered to our patients and the general community on a daily basis,” said Paula Ithurbisquy.
To receive this distinction, brands must meet certain requirements, such as displaying effective and sustained market success; contributing to the development of the marketing discipline in Chile; becoming an icon in its category, in terms of both business dynamics and daily life of its markets and users; becoming a close brand, valued and recommend by consumers, and incorporating values associated to social responsibility and sustainability into their brand strategies in an on-going manner.
Actor Héctor Noguera, who suffered a serious accident in February this year and was treated at Clínica Alemana, described his positive experience in this health center.
During the event, recognition was given to the track record and positioning of the institution, which has focused on meeting the health care needs, delivering medical services of excellence, and transmitting attributes of great significance, such as assurance and confidence.
Also, the Clinic’s great social vocation, constant improvement plans and substantial investments made in the training and formation of its collaborators and doctors in Chile and abroad were also highlighted.
Actor Héctor Noguera, who suffered a serious accident in February this year and was treated at Clínica Alemana, gave an account of his positive experience at this healthcare center: “I felt confident at all times, comforted in my fears. With a hand that was guiding me and a team behind it. The Clinic personnel contained my anxiety and my fear from the very beginning; they stood by my family. The important decisions were made together between them and the doctors. I was comforted in all aspects. For this reason, I would like to thank each one of them.”

GREAT BRANDS ®/ Hall of Fame Chile is organized by Valora, an entity recognized for its 25 years dedicated to identifying practices in the field of marketing communications through Effie® Awards Chile and MKTG BEST. In Chile, this event was held for the first time in 2000 and is currently sponsored by the School of Economics and Business of Universidad de Chile, the Asociación Nacional de Avisadores (National Association of Advertisers) and the Asociación Chilena de Agencias de Publicidad (Chilean Association of Advertising Agencies).
